looking for quick suggestions to destinations out of Boston Harbor, Son has a power boat-36' Egg Harbor- any go to destinations would be appreciated!
Mooring Balls? anchoring out?
HELP!

There are numerous islands in Boston Harbor. Outside if you head north, Marblehead, Salem, Gloucester, Rockport are good destinations. If you are adventurous, head southeast across Massachusetts Bay about 40 miles and you can get to Provincetown at the tip of the cape - big harbor, beautiful area.

If you head out into MA Bay, watch out for right whales. They are hard to see and often mosey along on the surface.

We did go out and were headed to scituate than the weather turned bad so we went back.
We had a great time for the 4th in Boston, lots of fireworks and good food, had a good time with our son!!
