C-22 spreaders should be one inch
The diameter for C-22 spreaders should be one inch. However, I believe some very early boats had 3/4 inch spreaders, although I suspect those that are still sailing have upgraded to one inch. In place of the rubber boots, you might wish to look at the polyester cloth boots. These polyester boots wrap around the spreaders and attach behind the shroud with a buckle. They should be easier to install than the rubber boots that require either tape that gets unglued or nylon ties that must be positioned carefully on the shroud part so that the catch faces inward. The nylon ties also do not like sunlight. You can see these polyester boots in the 2003 West Marine catalog on page 864.
