I put a Boomkicker Model K0750 on my H-240 yesterday. I used the smaller set of rods. It is a great unit with excellent instructions. I did have to take the bottom off the mast to install the mast connection, but the rest was pretty easy. No need to shorten the rods. Seems to fit perfectly. If anyone wants any details I can provide the measurements etc. from my unit on the boat.

Boomkicker installation

I'm looking at the same installation.Did you try the larger dia. rods? Any problems in removing or reinstalling the mast base?

removing mast base was work

I used the smaller rods after talking to the man at Boomkicker. It would be easy to put in the large rods if I wanted them. The man said they would add l00 pounds more pressure which would equal about a 15 pound push on the end of the boom. I don't think I need more than I got with the small rods. Yes it was work to take the mast bottom off. It is a 2000 year boat and two of the three set-screw heads sheared off. I had to drill them out, tape larger holes and put in large diameter stailess bolts seating them with lifecaulk type stuff. Fortunately they was enough material to re-tap the needed holes. The rest of it was easy. The fitting slid in and the Boomkicker directions are excellent. My mast fitting is 23 3/4" below the boom. The boom fitting is 26 3/4" aft if the mast to the forward end of the boom fitting. The total length pin-to-pin is 36". Good luck!
