i am interested in adding a boom vang to my 1983 hunter 27. what would be the recommeded size for this boat?....purchase, line diameter,etc?

Larry my choice would be a 4:1 purchase with
a 3/8 inch line. The h27 at 7,000 lbs dry weight is a pretty hefty boat for its size.

That's what ours is
4 times 3/8ths. Be sure to make it long enough that you can put snap shackles on it, and convert it to a preventer by snapping it on the end of the boom, and the toe rail. David Lady Lillie
