Boom Vang

Just acquired a '93 Hunter 19 and can't determine how to attach the boom vang at the mast. There seems to be a piece of hardware missing at the mast, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If it is like the 23.5

there is a tang on the pin at the base of themastuntill I ordered the tang from Hunter I attached mine right to the pin.

Attach to mast pin...

with a small shackle. Yes, you can slip the pin out with the mast up, but be careful. Better to install when stepping the mast, but heck I forget just about every Spring!!We have a '93 19 also. Where do you sail?
