Boom Vang

Hello, I am adding a boom vang to my 23. It has never had one in the past and am not sure how far back along the boom to mount the bail. I have purchased a 4:1 block and wish to go from the boom to the base of the mast. Guidance from you folks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Scott,Just went down to the basement and measured my boom. The vang attaches to the boom about 33" aft of the gooseneck.

Just a deep floor!
