I purchase my '74 Catalina two years ago. It came with a new boom tent, which the previous owner never used or knew how to use it. It seems to have some screening and a door (?) with two long fiberglass poles marked 'fore' and 'aft'. The ends of both poles are painted red and green - I'm sure for port and starboard sides.
