I've got a 63' mariner and It's missing all of its rigging, my question is, is the line starting at the c/b block act as a mainsheet/ boom vang/traveler? It seems to be one line that continues to the end of the boom. Then down to the stern blocks on both sides and back up to connect at the boom? Could use some help here?

Mariner boom rig

Mike: Although my '76 Mariner does not have the earlier main sheet rig, an article in an old Notice to Mariners shows the "Crosby" 3:1 rig. The sheet goes out the boom to a block on the end, down to the port transom block, across the transom to the starboard corner, then back up to attach to the boom end. Perhaps other owners of older Mariners know this rig better. Good luck!

Why not convert?

The rig starts at the end of the boom, next to the block, then (1) travels down through one stern block, (2) accross the stern, (3) through the other deck block (4) up through the block on the end of the boom (5) forward to another block mid-boom (6) down to the cb trunk. or Change the rig with fiddle blocks and keep it only mid-boom and cb trunk, boy doe it open up the stern when those main sheet lines are gone!

Rigging Mariner Boom Sheet

Yes Mike you are correct,to put it another way; The sheet runs from the boom thru the starboard block across the sern to the port block then to the stern boom block then to the foward boom block then to the swinging block and jam cleat.
