simple rig
My Venture 21 #2347 had a very primitive end-of-boom mainsheet setup. The boom was set up for roller reefing the main, so the mainsheet block hung from a tang bolted to the end of the boom. It led down to a swivel base mounted at the port aft corner of the boat that had a standup single block with a becket and a cam cleat to grab the sheet. The sheet began at the becket, ran up to the block on the boom then back down through the block on the swivel and to the camcleat. The purchase was 2:1 but that's not bad for end of boom sheeting on a boat of that size.I'm planning on racing my V21 so I'm going to a mid-boom traveller setup and regular slab reefing.
