Thanks everyone for the information and suggestions on the boom line rigging. Seadog69, all great minds think alike. After everyones comments, I plan on doing the same thing: rig the topping lift for operating at the cockpit end of the boom. Re-rig the jiffy reefing for a simply 2 or 3 foot line around the end of the boom. This will eliminate the 20 feet of jiffy reefing line that is always getting in the way. The out haulline is the subject of my next post. Thanks again.
