Boom Kicker for Oday 25

I need to replace the Boom-Vang on my Oday 25. I thought about getting a Boom-Kicker but I don't know how this would affect my ability to take down the mast. I only trailer-sail and I need to have a unit that will hold up for that purpose. Thanks for your help.

Instructions for Stepping the mast

Do you have the instructions that came with the boat for stepping the mast? I have a 25 and would like to find out how to do this rather than have my marina do it for me. They charge over $200 for the service, but I figure since the boat is set up to be a trailer sailer, the operation should not be too complicated. I am also looking for an owners manual for the 25. I found one online, but can not read the entire manual. Thanks Ed

Mast Stepping an O'Day 25

Ed, Enclose your email address in a reply and I will send you instructions on how you can single-hand stepping and un-stepping your O'Day 25 mast. It is a piece of cake if you use the right gear - inexpensive too. Doing it yourself gives you a tremendous satisfaction and you feel that you finally have control over the boat, rather than it controlling you. Al
