Boom end cap

Bird nest in boom. Need end cap. Ideas? First 305

Assuming it is open from the factory (and you're not looking for a new factory cap), I would fashion a piece of black starboard to fit inside the opening, secure it with some screws making it flush with the end of the boom.

I use an OilSorb mat folded over to keep birds out of my boom.

Cram a beer can into the end of the boom, remove it after nesting season.

I take a piece of folded over closed cell foam and jam it in there...and a little piece up at the mast end too!

I went with duct tape on my boat. Works well and is easy to remove when you need it.

I believe our boom on our beneteau 321 was made by Charleston Spars. we bought a plastic end cap from them that snapped in.
