I have just acquired a 1983 Hunter 20. All in all, its in pretty good shape, but I need to replace the boom and mainsail (they were burned up in a fire). My sailmaker friend has asked me to find out what kind of gooseneck fitting the boom has. Is it fixed? (I am currently 1,200 miles away from where the boat is, and I have not looked at the mast closely enough to remember)and what kind of luff attachment hardware does the mainsail use? Photos would be great, if possible. My friend plans to create a boom for me. If you have any ideas, or know of a place where I could find a used boom or mainsail, I would appreciate the input.
