Boom came apart

The pop rivets broke holding the boom to the mast is this a regular maintance problem or has anyone else had this problem? there are 3 pop rivets and when I pulled the main sheet down to secure the boom while we were flaking the main it came apart I do have a solid boom vang

Something like this should be covered under the Hunter warrantee if your boat is 5 or less years old. I would contact the factory or your dealer. Try www.huntermarine.com

I have old # 5 1994 I am preplexed I asked my dealer how it happened and what type of pop rivets he told me to use stainless and I said it had alum and he said and then you said and I signed on to huntermarine.com and when on that site can you ask I am ill-Lit no mater I will pop it back and sail on thanks again I love My Boat
