Hello all Oceanis 43 owners,

I want to fit a Fleming GybOmatic Boom Brake and don't know how and where to mount the side attachments onto the cabin top. My question is has anyone solved this and how?

I ran my Wichard Gybe-Easy control lines to a padeye car that I installed on the forward most section of my jib-sheet track. You should be able to do something similar on your boat.

Gunni: While I know what the boom brake is, I have never used anything fancier than a simple check line. My 250 came with a double pulley system but havn't used it yet. Do I just move the lower pulley to the leeward side or am I ideally supposed to have 2 boom brakes? The largest sailboat I have ever sailed is this 27' Catalina 250. Since my home is up in the Cascade mountians behind Lake Oroville Ca. a trailerable works out best for us.
Thanks, Chief

And you need a second set of hands to operate your device during a gybe. A boom brake does the work for you and makes singlehandin' easier ...gybe easy my friend! ;)
