Boom bolt rope slot size ?

Hello All !

I am working on project and unfortunately the boat is 1.5 hours away.

Does anyone know what size the slot in the boom that is normally used for bolt rope on the foot of the sail is ?

I don't mean the slot itself... I mean the round section where the bolt rope would sit.

I know it is lightly larger than 7/16 (size of the pop top "lock").. Would 1/2" round aluminium slide in there ?
