Bomar Hatch Gasket

I need a new gasket for the mid ship hatch on an ODay 34, 1982. The hatch is original equipment Bomar and is roughly 16 inches square.
Have any of you readers replaced same with a new hatch and if so what brand and model did you use?

I don't have any info on replacing with another brand but, you can just replace the gasket on the original one. Contact Pompanette.com in New Hampshire. They manufacture the Bomar products. You can purchase gasket material from them. I re-gasketed two of my hatches last year, very easy to do.

Were there any secrets to changing the gaskets.?...I received a one page instruction
sheet (full of do this or that) with my new gaskets and have not had the nerve to read it yet.....should do so today. Thanks for your help. Patrick

I don't remember any specific problems or secrets, just cut the gasket at an angle so when you glue the two ends together they overlap each other. You need super glue. Probably the worst part was keeping my fingers out of the super glue! I changed mine while hanging out at anchor one afternoon.
