I have removed and painted my deck hatches , i will be rebedding new acrylic lens's in the next few days, has anybody else here overhauled them and remember the size of the roll pin's used on the hinges? I would like to order from mcmaster-carr (huge price difference) but i don't have calipers to determine the exact size and have found no specs online, thanks

Are you still waiting for an answer Red? I don't even know the brand of hatches on my H37C. But I plan to be working on the boat and could measure mine sometime this week.

Send me a picture of what you need: I have a few extras, courtesy of the salvage yard
You have the same boat as I do
Free of charge, happy to help
Take a picture so I can see the exact part you have.
While here, on both my hatches, are there tow supporting arms on both, or only one?
I have extra, but it appears as if they are supposed to be two... there is even a connection for the second one

thanks Ed but I ordered some from mcmaster carr already, at 1/4 the price (for 25) I took the chance at less then precise measurements. they are a different style of spring pins the new ones are thicker metal with a central split and the old ones were a thin sheet rolled into a spiral. Theoretically the same principal of expanding force to hold it in place should be about the same. hopefully the ones i got will fit. Jorge, I am missing two hatch "dogs" (the latches) and the two that I have are missing the plastic knobs and I am missing a support arm for the smaller of the two hatches. That is very generous of you to offer, I would really appreciate any spares that you wouldn't mind parting with. As far as the "missing support arm" i think it was intended that it could be switched from side to side depending on the particular boat layout/preference

Bomar Hatch Spring Pin sizes

Hi Readbeard33,

Sorry for the delay. Sounds like it is too late for you, but for others:
Bomar hatches
C139MED-STD-B 22" x 22" (1980 37C V-Berth)
Spring pin sizes: Hinges 1"X 5/32" Latch: 1 1/4"X 5/32"

C139SMA-STD-B 15" x 20" (1980 37C Salon)
Spring pin sizes: Hinges 1 1/2"X 1/4" Latch: 1 1/4"X5/32"

C130----STD-B 12 3/8" x 12 3/8" (1980 37C Galley and Quarter berth)
Spring pin sizes: Hinges 1 1/2"X 1/4" Latch: 1 1/4"X5/32"

I had difficulty buying the 1" x 5/32" in small quantity, so decided to use 1-1/4" instead. I bought from greenboatstuff.com

If anyone is thinking of replacing their htch lexan, I hae enough f 0.220" to replace all four, plus double that quantity of 0.375". Had to have a min. order.

Cheers,

JinBR
