No this isn't a posting about the best way to take a shower on your boat. This is more of a concept like ethnic cleansing. There's an interesting article in the current issue of Newsweek entitled "No Kitchen, Water Views" on the efforts of many communities to get rid of liveaboard boaters due to perceived problems as seen by various types of landlubbers. What was interesting to me was that this article appeared not in Sail magazine or Cruising World, but in Newsweek which suggests these efforts are becoming more mainstream. The article also suggests that liveaboards in many areas are banding together to fight against these regulations.Does your marina permit liveaboards? Are there efforts in your area to eliminate or restrict liveaboards? If liveaboards are restricted, will restrictions on cruising be next? What are your thoughts?Gary WyngardenS/V Wanderlust h37.5
