When idling and slow speeds I have a noisy vibration. This is most evident when idling in the slip. It sounds like something is lying loose and it will stop when the engine speed is increased. I checked the engine for excess vibration, but found none. I took everything out of the stern where the fuel tank is located and it seems to be coming from UNDER THE TANK ??

Has anyone had a similar problem, and if so; how did you resolve it ?

Smells & sounds are impossible to help with on a Message Board

That said, what engine do you have? That would help. An M25? If so, your idling speed could be too low. The M25 tends to wobble and shake below 900 to 1000 rpm. The transmission is good to 1100 rpm, so up the idle speed. Ya got something loose underneath the tank we simply can't help ya from here.:)

The only thing that is below your fuel tank is the shaft strut. Have you checked to see if your cutless bearing is bad?
