Boat trucking

Thinking of trucking my H-34 from Md to FL. My last experience shipping household stuff to FL makes me wary. Any advice what's out there, national/local? How to select and what surprises did you experience?

Trucked a 30 footer from Sydney to Airlie Beach which is a long way. Don't follow the trailer as you'll swear the boat is going to fall off!
Make sure the mast is well protected on the rails.
Biggest issue was the exhaust from the tractor put black soot all down the side of the white hull.

I brought my boat from Middle River, MD to Hampton, VA in 3 days against contrary winds. It was another few days to the Pamlico Sound on the ICW. I understand the best way to go is ICW to Charleston, SC and then South by ocean after that. Maybe you could do the trip in stages with a sailing buddy. A much cheaper and more rewarding way to go.
