I am considering buying a Mystic 20 in FL that has no trailer. Asking price is very attractive. I would sail her on Lake Ontario so I would need to truck her north. Does anyone know of a service that would move a boat this small. I'm thinking a pick up truck with a flat bed trailer as it only weighs 3000lbs. I certainly wouldn't need a full size semi with a low boy.

A friend of mine moved his Viking 28 on a trailer behind a pickup truck. He strapped the cradle to the boat for lifting on and off the trailer. This is my buddy's boat in the picture on Sailboatdata.com VIKING 28 - sailboatdata

The Mystic 20 should be doable assuming you have a cradle and a crane at each end of the trip.

if you already have a pick up and a flatbed trailer by also adding the price of a cradle and a crane and then drive down to Florida and back this might be a better option

When you include the costs of transportation from Florida to NY, you may find it more affordable to buy a boat in your own region.
