Safty first...
I have a marina do my bottom paint and they don't want to be under the boat on stands. They leave it in the travel-lift while doing the work, then place it on stands for temporary storage or move it right into the water. If I were to do the work myself, I would use 7 stands: 6 plus the bow, based on feedback from Hunter and a marina. Or arrange to have the boat left in the travel-lift over night, (or weekend) to do it yourself. There are other considerations, too. You need to contain any dust from sanding of old bottom paint for environmental reasons, and you don't want to be breathing or coming in contact with the dust or the new paint and fumes during application. I feel that this is a job best left to the experienced boat yards. My 2 cents...Tom
