Hi, does anyone know the height and quantity of boat stands needed for a Hunter 380 or 386? This is our first off season with the boat and we're hoping to store it locally to us but need to purchase stands. Thanks in advance!

Different model boat, but boat yards in our area use standard adjustable boat stands that fit most all models and styles of displacement monohulls. Our boat size requires ten stands; four on each side spaced evenly and one on each end. These stands do not support the boat weight, but instead are used to stabilize. The keel supports the boat weight resting on a large wood block.
Thanks Terry. There are a few height options available and I want to make sure I get the right height to provide the best stabilization.
Why don't you rent the stands from the boatyard for the first lay up and see what they use. Then you'll know what to use. Laying up a boat is a skill for which some experience is necessary. The yard will likely not use the stands you supply if they don't think they are the right ones. They would be responsible.

Hi Andrew, the boat won't be at a marina or boatyard and the transport company isn't providing them either otherwise I'd most certainly utilize whatever the yard required. Thank you for the feedback!
Wow thanks! I hadn't planned on 11 jack stands. Brownell recommends 7 so hopefully that won't be an issue.
8 stands needed four on each side. Give them the height Of the keel and height of bottom of keel to water line. Get the adjustable screw pads. Ask Brownell.
where are you storing the boat and surface where the stands will be at. You will need four chains to tie together the stands to prevent them from kicking out. Get someone to teach you how in the beginning but surface is important
