Ok...3 weekends

Motor or sail down the river to NYC or someplace near there and dock. Come back the following weekend and sail to the bay and dock. Then come back and sail up the bay. I would rather pay $1000 in slip fees and plane tickets and enjoy that $1000 then to pay $500+ and not enjoy it.

I'm checking out the Albany to NYC leg and it seems like a very cool trip to take, especially if you can sail it (would be hard work though in constant trimming of the sails). I'm using the Google earth software to see the river (waiting on work from testers right now :) ). I lot of beautiful country there along the river. One thing for sure, you can't do the first leg single handed. Way too much turning and traffic to get any rest.

These guys moved a boat for me from Newburyport Mass into Canada on Lake Huron. I think they are based in South Carolina. They run up and down the coast alot. Dave

Fun Trip

We made the trip from Buffalo, NY to Solomons, MD last fall. Really enjoyed the Hudson but don't count on much sailing. If you make the trip contact me and I will pass along some suggestions. Not as expensive as you might think. CDickhut2@aol.com S/V Obsession Catalina 320

I was at Boardwalk Marina on Monday making a final decision. I liked Boardwalk best, admiral liked Waterford best. Guess who won? Looking forward to meeting you. We should be there around May 21. The motley crew consists of me, herbparsons, nice and easy and Bill Hoelsher(Bill does not come on this site)
