DC Police are once again patrolling for vessels on the upper Potomac that are not displaying a DC sticker. If you have your boat anywhere north of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, be sure to have your registration updated by June. The law says that all boats (including kayaks, canoes etc.) that float primarily on DC waters must be registered in DC.
I tried like crazy to find the link for the registration site, and was finally able to track it down via a phone call. There is no link on any of the DC pages to find the site, which is called "OVERS." It stands for Online eCommerce Vessel eCommerce Registration System. (Which doesn't even make sense in abbreviation...but I digress.) The website that you will need to go to is:

If you have any issues with registration, Linda will be happy to assist. (be nice to her, she is incredibly helpful, and is the only one managing this new system and not very happy with the way it works right now.)
