Tied up to the water front of Savannah is the Sailing Yacht Altair. She is a 41meter Classic Sailing vessel. Just completed the Atlantic crossing placing First (according to the crew). Sail boat with 7-8. Racing 25 crew.
Getting ready to visit Newport RI to race against the locals. Look out.
She is a real looker.

Here you go Dave. Took this one from the little river ferry.

Kid aboard the ferry said it belonged to a guy involved in the Savannah hospitality business. All us tourists paid the bill for the boat.

The Vessel Finder link shows it to traveling to and from Savannah, Newport, and the Caribbean, so that makes sense. It is pricey yacht. I'd buy it but I can't afford the crew.
