What size lettering would look okay on the Mac26? Maybe it's simple but I can't picture it when I try different sizes without the actual letters. I'm think 5 inches, but my wife thinks 6 inches would show up better at a distance. I don't want it over obtrusive but would like it to be seen from whatever distance is appropriate for the size boat. In other words, what have other Mac26, or 26 foot boat owners used? I'm open for suggestions, but with nice weather coming up it's time to get "OUT" there. Thanks guys and guyettes for any input.

Inches start at the top of the capital letter.

Hello 5" may be too small in my opinion. Here is a picture of my boat. The graphics are 7 1/2"from the top of the L to the bottom of the B. it should be a good referance for you. If you choose 5 or 5 1/2" Remember that the capital letters will be the 5 or 5 1/2 inches and the lower case will be more like 3 or 3 1/2. This may be too small to see. I got mine done from BoatUS.com (They will do a proof) and it turned out great. I paid around $100.00 for my name and graphic X 2(wife put them on in an hour). Good luck!

I know what you mean about being over obtrusive! I have a 26M and decided to put the name on the seat back as opposed to both sides at the stern. It might be something to consider. Kenny

I liked the pictures and it does give me an idea......I'm thinking of all capital letters, forgot to mention that.

Where did you get the graphic

Kenny, I have a 2003 M26 as well. Love the placement and the way the graphics look on your boat. Where did you get them made and what was the price range if you don't mind me asking. Happy sailing, Kirk

Hey Kirk. I got my graphics done at www.myboatsign.com. They are great people...very helpful. It gives you a lot of choices such as size, font, colors, outlines, drop shadows, both positive and negative slant, as well as a lot of stock logos and an option to send in a custom logo. My boat is named after my niece and my cat. When I saw the cat logo on their site, I knew I had to work it in somehow. My cat is Siamese and it looked just like him. Anyway, after you choose all the options, you can see it online and make any changes you want. I got the Emily Blue and the Woodstock, GA as 2 separate pieces and I believe it cost around $60.00 or so. They were very easy to put on. I went back to them for my registration graphics. I think they were about $25. I ordered white to put on the blue part. They called me the next day just to make sure I REALLY meant to select white before they made them. Have fun with your 26M. Hope you like it as much as I like mine! Kenny
