Boat lift

I'm considering the purchase of a Hunter 240. Would it be foolish to keep it on a sling lift? If I recall correctly there was an issue lifting my old h23.5

I received a message. Now to the point.

Never leave a sailboat in the slings as I saw too many indented hulls causing other damage not to mention swaying in the wind hitting poles. I saw slings come off not being tied together and so on. Simply a cradle style following that of the specific trailer style for that boat with appropriate keel tray is the only was I will recommend vv

With that make sure the water ballast is drained.
