I'm finally getting 'round to putting the name on my 240. Does anyone have recommendations for the better places to put the name so that it is well seen? It seems the Hunter logos may get in the way on either side. It will be 12 letters and spaces and I'd like to do as large as possible. Anybody been disppointed how they located theirs? Thanks much.

Boat Letters

Jack, We have a H26. We took the squiggle line off the sides toward the stern and put the boat name in it's place. They are 7" script letters running diagonally . I think it looks pretty neat except for the tan line from the old decals. Paul H S/V Linda Belle 95 H26

Get an eraser and ...

rub out a space in the factory stripe then insert your boat name. I did that on my 26.5 and the results look really professional.

Boat Name

I have a 98 H240. I removed the "Hunter 240" from the sides and inserted the boat name "Right Coerse". You can see pics if you check out owner photos for H240's on this site.

Removed the Hunter Name

Jack, I have a '94 23.5 water ballast with the teal and purple stripe and "squiggle". The previous owner removed the Hunter name and put one part of the boat name above the horizontal stripe and part below. The boat name is Heeling Powers. "Heeling" is above and "Powers" is below the line. This is all on the sides close to the stern. He matched the Hunter font and used navy blue lettering. I was so pleased witht eh way it looks as well as the name that I kept it. The Hunter Font is Albertus medium with rounded corners.

Yes I am

It is always tough for me to name a boat. How many times have we seen a boat name and thought man that is really stupid. They called me Red Dog when I played Ball in School. So it seemed to fit. We did have a Hunter 25.5 one of the cream and orange colored boats. We named it Jail Break after the Thin Lizzy song and the colors of the boat. Too many of my friends would call for "Jail Bait" when calling me on the radio. Was all in good fun. Cliff H 28.5 "Red Dog"
