Winter project, I don't sew well, so this took me several nights of stitching for an hour here & there...felt nice to have the helm in my hand as winter is coming....there are a few different makers of the suede and the last one lasted 6 years before the color/leather faded out, this one is teak color. I'd recommend the pre-made holes, cause leather is not easy to poke through with a blunt needle.

Sounds like you have the same wheel cover as I do- a teak leather. I wonder if you have cleaned it, what did you use?

Just water to clean and using suede water proofing spray. Yes, make believe steering on the sofa, helm is used year round!

I have the exact wheel wrap you describe. I keep it supple with periodic applications of SNo-Seal, a wax based water proofing product, initially meant for hiking boots. The cover is 5 years old now and showing little, if any wear
