Is there a way to purchase new cushions for an 82 Catalina 30? Or do I have to take them to an upholsterer (sp?) to have them redone?I was not sure if there was a place that simply sold them by year and size.
I heard that Catalina gets their cushions from J.S.I. My 380 did not have cushions so I bypassed Catalina and went directly to J.S.I. They had all the deminsions on hand and I had NO PROBLEM whatsoever (at a better price)
James,I found a website that sells 'custom made' cushions in a variety of colors.the site is www.ccushions.com.I priced them for my 27' catalina and it was around $580.Good luck.Terry Goodin
You might check out a local "inland" upholsterer. The "marine" shops seems to be a little pricier than just normal upholstery hsops. I've heard they can have pretty competitive prices. It's worth the comparison, plus you can meet them personally.LaDonna
Word on the net is that JSI ain't what it used to be.Try US Yacht Cushions at usyacht@aol.com. they have many patterns for production boats and did some very nice work for me.CCushions only does the outdoor cockpit variety.
I just had my cockpit cushions recovered by an auto upholsterer. It was a friend of a friend deal and it cost $150.00. I was looking at $500.00 before I found him. It was that same vinyl material. Those guys have the same stuff.
