Driver of motorboat was evidently 75, couldn’t see over the bow, and was texting.

Really? That is what the responsible party said? Because he did absolutely nothing that would have prevented death and injury. At the very least the guy should have his insurance cancelled. Good thing those people were paying attention and took prompt decisive action.

Driver was convicted of several charges and since then, a lawsuit has been filed by the ones that got run over.
