Welder?

Find someone who can weld stainless, and use an existing ladder for a design. This would not be an expensive job.

Yes, you would need to have one made and perhaps you can improve on the design. The wrungs on the factory ladder are to close to the transom requiring for you to place the foot sideways. Also a flat surface on the wrungs would greatly help as it was literally a pain to use it barefoot.

I added rungs to my factory ladder. I used Ipe that a friend had leftover from a deck. I removed the ladder then drilled and tapped some holes.

Know a great welder here in Baltimore that can build a ladder for you if you are unable to find one down by you. On it's maiden voyage home after buying Islander we decided to race her, my best friend sailing instructor college room mate from nearly 40 years ago suggested it would be fun.

After the first day race called to much wind there was a party. It was fun, I went back out to the boat climbed up about half way when the ladder tore lose and went to the bottom. Then to add insult to injury I could not climb back on board from the dinghy that was being used to transport people from the anchorage so I swam back to the dock wet, cold and embarrassed.

The new ladder John built was far stronger and three years out is a joy.
