So. for two days we have had SE winds averaging about 25Knots. It has pushed a ton of water into our bay system and it is literally blowing the dog off the chain. Stay safe as these low pressure systems hang around.

Yep, earlier this winter a big storm came in and damaged the gelcoat on my boat by rolling the bare pole boat onto a cleat on the dock. This is an 11 foot wide 10,000 pound boat. My 125 lb live aboard neighbor said he was afraid to get too close and was afraid he'd be blown off the dock checking people's dock lines.
I believe him. Glad no one was hurt.

Warm nice sailing day in Puget Sound today, except the wind was a bit light.

Terrible winds here in Wichita.....was at the boat on Sunday and noticed my mainsheet was hanked on to the traveler with rope vs. the shackle and blocks.....The stainless steel had been around since 1986 but has been subjected to 55-71 mph winds (clear blue skies), (except blowing dust) for the last 5 or 6 weeks.. The shackle was literally torn apart. I never have seen such wind go on and on and on.....was beautiful thought today...nearly calm right now. and 68 degrees.
