We picked up an 85' Cat 22 from a field last summer. She was filthy but cleaned up well. After many hours of small projects today I started on the bottom job. I knew we had a few larger blisters but was incredibly sad to find this hiding under the bottom paint.
So.... What are my options?
My hobby is resorting small sailboats so I am no stranger to blisters. I have just never had anything like this. I am willing to grind and fill each one but I am afraid they are too many and too close together.
Do I grind off all the gelcoat and spray new?
My original plan was to fill and sand any blisters I found then do many barrier coats before the new bottom paint.
Your advice is greatly appreciated!
