Went over to the dealer today and bought a new banjo bolt, crush washers and bleed screw to fix the problem with the broken off bleed screw. The new screw is about 1/2 inch long, which is a far cry from the 1/8 or so of the old piece. Still not sure if the old one was drilled and cross drilled. The new one has a small slot cut about half way up the side of the threads, and it is very possible the old one broke off here, and it just looked like it had been cross drilled. But after going through the bleeding process, she cranked right up, and purred like the proverbial kitten. Still don't know but hoping this will somehow cure the problem of needing to be bled after it sits for three or four weeks. I'm hoping that even though it flies agains logic for it to suck any air in if it doesn't lead with pressure on it. Not to mention there is no vacum with the engine running. I have a pressure test going on tonight. Have four pounds in the system, with the tank valve shut off. Will have some better ideas in the morning maybe.
