Peggy, I recently ordered your book. I was a little surprised when it arrived as it seemed pricey for it's small size. Okay, I was wrong! It is the most concise, authoritative book of it's size I've ever seen!! Congratualtions and thank you!!! (Want to do one on diesel fuel systems!) My questions concerns vacuflush. You indicate that chorline bleach can have an adverse effect on the rubber and plastic components of marine heads. But, as you know, the vacuflush toilets use water from the potable system. Is the bleach concentration you recommend so low as to not effect the toilets or do I need to make sure I get all the bleach out? Thanks Dave

No problem unless you're adding bleach

to your water tank, which is as damaging to the rubber parts in your fresh water pump as it is to rubber parts in toilets. (Read the chapter "Fresh Water Maintenance" for more on that.) However, the normal chlorine level in municiple water isn't high enough to matter as far as your toilet is concerned.
