Birds and fish

The birds in my marina seem to love my boat and use it as the buffet table for the fish the catch in the water. After spending a Sunday afternoon with softscrub and water cleaning bird droppings, fish scales, and fish fins off the deck, sail cover, and rigging, we thought someone must have a solution. What do you use to keep the birds from taking up "squaters" rights on your boats?

In our marina the birds seem to prefer

the dock and the piles not much of a problem with bird mess on the boats except for ducks roosting on swim platforms.
