I have a Hunter 335 with Edson wheel and ritchie compass- the binnacle light seems to be burnt out- there is power to the other (stern light) on the same circuit- DOes anyone know how to access the bulb- I have looked in the Edson Web site but didn;t find anything- Thanks

Nigel; The compass must be held in place with some screws around the edges. Remove them, and the light is under the dome somewhere.

LED Possibly

Mine was a red LED. There is also a resistor in series with it for 12v operation. Just remove the 4 screws around the compass flange and lift out.

LED replacement

The LED is under the dome cover which is secured by a screw on either side. The compass is held on with four screws which you need to remove to get to the wiring. I replaced mine on my 33.5 a couple of months ago. Cost @ $15. Don't forget to heat shrink your two new butt connectors. While your into the steering pedestal, it's a good time to lubricate the chain, check the wheel brake and make sure all the cable connections are secure. Have fun.
