Hi all,
I hope you are having a great summer. This year I purchased a bimini top for a 260, stainless steel- standard pre cut. The purchase was made with this web site, " Sailbaot owners .com" The top was shipped from a company in Florida and appears to be of good quality. My question is as follows.
When installing the top prior to fastening it to the rail brackets it is roughly 8" wider than the span of the rails. It is fairly easily bent into compliance with the rail brackets but exerts enough pressure to sort of bow the brackets outward a bit. Is this normal?
The top was ordered as a standard size for the boat and must be correct; however seems to be a bit sung. Everything is working well with the top but the one stainless steel screw on the rail bracket got bound and we had one heck of a time getting it loose. does anybody know what size stainless screw this is, I do not want to remove it until I have a replacement. The screw is borderline stripped.
Thank you for any help.
