I have a 1984 Hunter 27. I am searching for a Bimini top and have found the available solutions limiting. I want to avoid the custom route due to how expensive they are and it seems that pre-measured biminis are available for all 27 foot hunters but the 75-84 models. Any help on locating or modifying a bimini would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know what price you were quoted, but a company in Orlando, Fl built one for my Hunter 30 for $350 (fabric top only). I assume your frame is OK. You send him the old one and he'll make a new one with top of the line materials. George

I have not purchased anything as of yet and was hoping to find a complete premeasured unit since it seamed they were available in the 400-500 dollar range for most other models. As you indicated I may end up purchasing a frame and having just the top work done to minimize cost. Thanks for your help

I just had JSI build a bimini for my 84 H27. It's the best $1100 I have ever spent. You can get them cheaper if you go with the aluminum frame. I bought all stainless. I also used technora tread. With wheel steering you really need the top to go clear back past the stern rail, which means cut outs for the backstay. It's worth it!. I checked price with a couple of makers and they were all in that range. I recommend that you spend the money and get the custom job. You'll be happy you did.
