I am looking for suggestions on a vendor to build a bimini for my Seafarer 30. I do not have anyone in my immediate area who does this type work. I thought some of you may know a reputable company that could build and ship me a quality bimini based on measurements supplied to them. I need the whole bimini built, frame and all. I have sent pictures and information to a couple of companies but have not had any response for an estimate.

Semi custom Bininis available here

Bud: You can get a bimini from this website. They have a system to measure your boat and then you just bolt it in place. It comes shipped on a pallet ready for you to do your thing.

I purchased one from this website and it was perfect. It fit perfect, the quality was great and the price was right.

Just up the lake from you...

There is Creative Canvas in Grand Rivers. I'm guessing you're in Paris, Tn which is only a fifty mile sail up the lake to Grand Rivers. I've heard a lot of good comments about thier work. There's a lot of his work around our marina and it all looks very good.

MarkZ, Thank you for the information. It's good to know that Creative Canvas does good work. I have been trying to make contact with Creative Canvas. Lighthouse Landing told me about them and gave me their contact information. I have been unable to make contact. I left messages. Maybe they will call back sooner or later. My experience so far has been that people who do bimini work are difficult to contact and are not responsive to requests for quotes. Perhaps they are so busy in summer that they have more work than they can handle. Beneteau 373, do you have any pictures of your boat with the bimini on. Al, I looked into Sailrite. This looks like a good option for someone with the time and the right kind of skills. I purchased the Sailrite plans for building a bimini from one of their kits. After reading the plans, I decided the job exceeded my available time and skills.

I like Island Nautical

You can get an idea of the rough cost on their website (see link) and they'll send you an estimate if you send them your dimensions and select options. They do good work.

Bimini

I had a great experience last year. I had all new canvas, dodger, and new rail mounted bimini including stainless made. I worked with Troy Brake at Indycanvas.com. We communicated frequently to double check measurements etc. Only had to send back the dodger for minor alteration. Very good to work with and absolutely eager to make everything to your satisfaction. Take a look at his website. You will save a fortune compared to traditional canvas houses. Good Luck!
