We bought an 05 Hunter 306 last fall and are preparing it for our first season. It came with a full dodger and Bimini cover. It appears to be a Hunter OE set up. Unfortunately I don't have a degree in aerospace design!!!!! Des anyone have an installation guide for the covers?

Thanks so much for any help you can provide.

You should have three pieces. The doger clearly identified by the removable or roll up transparent plastic. The smaller piece for the back of the bimini and a larger one for the front. If you will notice the stainless steel arch has grooves both fore and aft. You will slide the corresponding pieces into these grooves and then strech them over the frames and secure with the straps. The slides are zippered to attach to the bimini pieces. There are zippered encasements for the frame tubes on the inside and eyelets in the material to allow securing the straps to the tubes. On the front of the bimini on both sides you have collapsible tubes which need to be extended once the canvas is properly positioned. Installing the dodger canvas should be pretty straight forward and there should be a zipper to connect to the bimini or an insert piece zippered for that purpose. It helps if you have two persons to do the job and take your time and visualize how the pieces might fit. You are asking about the covers so I take it the tube frame is in position. Don't know of any published installation guide but you may check with a dealer to see if the factory provided them some.

There really isn't any published information on these installations, as they are typically installed by dealers and they know how to do it without instructions. Particularly for the dodger, I recommend finding a dealer or canvas shop to handle the install for you. Dodgers are tricky.

Thanks everyone. It makes sense the material slides into the grooves in the pipes. It looked odd when I first laid it out as there was no zipper connection from the front section of the dodger to the front piping. I'll take a run at it this weekend to install it again.
