Does anyone have any experience with putting an Aft Bimini intallation on a 29.5? We are looking to cover the aft section up to the Main Traveler. Are there any websites to go to for information? Any photos.

We are real excited. We just purchased this boat and had it shipped in from Pueblo, Colorado to Kansas City. Can't work on the boat now because it's 10 degrees! Thanks,

Travis

I have a 29.5 with the traveler on the cabin top. I have a dodger and bimini covering the entire cockpit. I did not think I would like the dodger since the summers are so warm but opening the center section provides ventilation. On cool days it has a greenhouse effect which my wife really enjoys. Unless it is really blowing, I stay dry in a rainstorm.
Your bimini fabricator will be able to custom fit whatever you want. When I replace the isen glass someday I will lengthen the slits the traveler controls pass through. They are a little hard to work in a heavy load.

I post some pixs in a few days. It is pouring rain today.

Do you have a bimini at all? There are several pictures of our old 29.5 with forward bimini on this website. It was very large, going from boom vang to main sheet (main sheet connected at helm with mini-track). The nice thing was that it covered the commanionway so you could leave he hatch open in light rain and it keeps the cabin cooler (shaded). If the sun was anywhere forward of he mast the large bimini shaded the aft area of the cockpit.

Travis, Please share your findings. The only dodgers and biminis I've seen were on this site, as well. I would like to eventually put a bimini on my 29.5. Due to the warmer climate, I don't think I will opt for a dodger.
