I'm hunting for a stern Bimini over my wheel. Is there a company that can provide the Bimini that has already made a Bimini for my 1987 O Day 272le and has all of the required dimensions.

Best to take dimensions, as shown in the link in post #2 plus height above the gunnel,, for the area you want the bimini to cover so you will be happy with the result.

If you really want a pre-fab bimini ALREADY sized for your sailboat do an internet search on "Pre-fabricated Bimini". With your dimensions you can them to fit your sailboat from many suppliers like Boat Bimini Tops | National Bimini Tops and Oceansouth Sailboat Bimini Top Stainless Steel |. Be sure to specify Sunbrella fabric and double wall 316 stainless tubing. One of the joys of boating is to customize your boat by determining exactly what you want, taking measurments, ordering and installing...........very satisfying. Personnaly, I like a turnkey canvas from my local canvas shop.......they come to my boat, we agree on what I want to cover, how high and construction materials, take measurements, fabricate and install. 1987 O'Day 272LE bimin photos below.

First, this site does a great job on biminis - but, although they do know your boat you do need to confirm a few key measurements, and make some decisions. For example:

Where does your mainsheet connect? Ours is from the boom end to the aft of our cockpit with obvious implications for a Bimini.

How high is your boom above the cockpit deck? On a 27 footer, running the Bimini forward under the boom probably means the you won't be able to stand up under it.

Where do you want the Bimini to mount and attach? Mount on the deck. or the stern pulpit? Do you have a toerail to attach guys from the Bimini?

10 minutes of measuring on the boat and answering questions were all that was needed, and the Bimini they shipped fit perfectly when it arrived. A few years after it arrived, I returned the fabric with a design for a cabin cover that fits over the boom, and ties into the Bimini, and they produced it to my custom design at a very reasonable price. Both the Bimini and the cabin cover have now served over 20 summers. We did restitch some of the Bimini seams after 20 years as the UV weakened the threads.
