Greetings from the Jenny Lynn. God has given me a love of sailing and really fair skin. I want to rig a Bimini on Jenny Lynn. I am more than willing to experiment, but if anyone has done this successfully, I would rather not reinvent the wheel.

Ned,
I'm sure that I've talked to you before on this subject. You may need to change the sheeting arrangement on your O'Day 222 in order to mount a Bimini top. This would entail installing a traveler in front of the companionway. I know, "icky Pooh!" "The Mrs. isn't going to like that and we'll all wind up tripping over it every time we go in and out of the cabin!" :cussing:
To tell you the truth Ned, my wife didn't like it either. Wait till she tries stepping over the Harken traveler I just installed. It has ropes and pulleys on it that are sure to catch a foot.

I love it though. It's better than that Nico Fico traveler that was on there.
One of the guys in my club bought an inexpensive Bimini Top for his Hunter 27 and he likes it. You can pay as much as you want for these tops depending on the material it's made from. If I bought one I'd mount it on my stern rail I think. I guess I'll have to stick with my "poor sailor's Bimini." My Penelope likes it.
