Has anyone bought a bimini off the shelf that did not require any modifications? If so where and what is the right size?

The bimini I used

was from Boat U.S., three bow, 56"high by 73-80" wide model. I mounted it aft of the winches into the toerail with ss self tappers.Forward hold-downs attach to the stanchion base aft of the shrouds. Aft hold-downs drop outside the pushpit to the transom cap. I had to slit the fabric and have a fly installed to accommodate the backstay and play with the adjustments to pull the bimini clear of the boom and the mainsheet tackle, but no big problems. I used this unit because I am 6'3" and I wanted full headroom, and also wanted the entire cockpit covered in the event of rain. That was accomplished, but the unit looks awful and, I believe, impedes the boat speed in light air. The biggest benefit is that we seem to use the cockpit more often at anchor because it seems considerably more comfortable. Go figure. Best regards, Jim s/v Cygnus
