I’ve had this Bimini frame before on our Oday 25 .
I am trying to get it set up so I can get replacement
Sunbrella made . I believe I have it orientated correctly. I don’t remember how it needs to be set up so that the rear straps don’t slide down the tubing . . I tried reversing the framework and the straps slid down the front and everything fell backwards .
The main sheet is mounted on the bridgedeck in front of the companionway . Thank you

Easiest way to prevent the strap from moving is screw it where you want it, just be sure use a washer
Or use a prussik knot tied to the strap and adjust it when needed
Another option is having a cutaway in the Sunbrella sleeve to hold it in place.
if the Bimini is to be folded away, you need the straps, but if you want it self supporting (fixed) you can always add legs and braces so it stays in place without the straps

The bimini I had on my O'Day used some screws with snaps on the head. They never poked through. I'm guessing that's what the shop had on hand

It’s hard to tell from the photo but that frame looks to be aluminum and is bent out of shape. I would suggest looking on-line for a complete replacement, generally around $500 for the aluminum frame w/sunbrella top. For a couple hundred more you can get one with a stainless frame. For a canvas shop to pattern and fabricate an new bimini for that frame I would expect you’d pay more.

I can recommend the canvas shop that made the one on my 25. Let me know if you want me to look it up. They did an outstanding job. They were either in Indiana or Michigan. It came with the boat. I would recommend an extra bow and forward canvas extension to cover the companionway

The mainsheet traveler on that boat is mounted on the bridge deck just behind the companionway so covering the companionway opening is not possible unless adding from fwd of it.
