Dear Friends, Last fall i ordered a bimini for my 22 catalina directly from catalina. if there is anyone out there that got theirs from catalina, please tell me that it does fit and that we can sail with it. I went to the yard yesterday, and I just don't see how the bimini can open without getting caught up in the boom lines and the boom shrod! also, should it be installed towards forward in the cockpit or aft? I had a photo of a group of catalina's all with bimini's and I can't find it to show the canvas guy how this particular one works. he told the manager that he didn't think it fits the 22', yet I bought it from catalina direct for my 22. if anyone has the same boat with a bimini, i would love to see photos. thanks bernie

call whoever you bought it from.....
...Catalina Direct or the Catalina factory and ask them to provide some kind of installation guide, or maybe that's extra. You won't be able to sail with it up unless it's mounted far enough forward for the mainsheet to clear, which means it will cover the companionway also.
